UNIDROIT Centre for Transnational Commercial Law and International Arbitration
The Roma Tre – UNIDROIT Centre for Transnational Commercial Law and International Arbitration First Annual Conference will be held on Friday 8th of November 2024. It will be held in Rome as an in-person conference, at Bank of Italy’s ‘Carlo Azeglio Ciampi’ Auditorium. Every year, the Centre elects a front-burner topic as the primary focus of its research activities. This topic is thoroughly analysed and discussed at a high-level conference. The first edition of the Annual Conference will focus on climate change through the lenses of dispute settlement. The purpose of this conference is twofold: (i) to create a taxonomy of the most relevant legal issues that have arisen in the context of climate change, and (ii) through an in-depth analysis of these issues, to ease the complexity of the matter and provide policy indications to consistently address current and future challenges. This year, the conference is organised with Bank of Italy, and with the institutional support of SIMEST.
It will be held under the auspices of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Wolters Kluwer is the Media Partner of the conference. The conference will be entirely held in English and articulated into four sessions. It will take place at Bank of Italy’s ‘Carlo Azeglio Ciampi’ Auditorium, via Nazionale 190, Roma, 00184. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
