EU Telecoms Review: european Parliament and Council positions

By Stefano de Luca The European Parliament and the Council have engaged in informal trilogue negotiations to reach an agreement on the draft European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) and BEREC Regulation.

The aim is to reach an agreement by June 2018 the latest. The trilogues are initially focussing on spectrum and access issues, turning to end user rights and institutional issues later.

To clarify the main issues under discussion, Cullen International has prepared:

  • an infographic (and print version) showing the positions of the European Commission, Parliament and the Council on the main topics; and
  • an in-depth analysis summarising the institutions’ positions in detail.
